JAMB Addresses UTME Glitches, Pledges Rescheduling for Affected Students

Amidst concerns from candidates regarding glitches experienced during the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), led by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, vowed to reschedule exams for those impacted on Friday.

While overseeing the process in Kogo-Bwari, Abuja, Prof. Oloyede confirmed that, apart from one affected center, the UTME has largely proceeded smoothly. Emphasizing their commitment to addressing technical difficulties, he stated, "We ask for understanding; some centers may face issues. By day's end, around 10% of centers might encounter some challenge or another due to varying developmental levels across regions."

Oloyede continued, "We don't condone this, but if it occurs, please refrain from disrupting others." He explained that rescheduling is required when sessions fail, necessitating contact with JAMB headquarters. Candidates are urged to remain patient as the board diligently works to rectify the situation and ensure fair examination procedures for all.
